Exploring Nursing

Are you passionate about caring for others' health? Do you envision a future working in a hospital, clinic, health care facility, or in assisting people through in-home care? If nursing is in your future, then Exploring Nursing is the place to start your story at Nebraska!

You will take some classes with your community peers, including introductory biology and an Introduction to Nursing Learning Community seminar course. The Intro to Nursing seminar will be taught in the University Health Center facility by your faculty sponsor, Nancy Orsborn, the Director of Nursing for the University Health Center.

You'll also get hands-on experience with a visit to a nursing simulation lab. This community is co-sponsored by UNL's University Health Center and UNL's Explore Center for pre-professional advising, so you'll also learn how to make your future application to Nursing school strong!
