Pre-Law Opportunities

If law school is a possibility for your future, Pre-Law Opportunities: Preparing for Your J.D. and Beyond is for you! Whether you plan to become a lawyer, go into the political realm, or get involved in non-profit organizations, this community will set you off on the path best for you and find you the resources to prepare your portfolio.

Along with living on the same residence hall floor as your peers who have a similar passion, you will take a learning community exclusive pre-law seminar facilitated by UNL's College of Law, in which you will learn about the different areas of law available to study.

While you learn inside the classroom, you'll gain experience on-site by participating in a variety of academic, career, and social activities to enhance your knowledge and build your connections. Some of these activities may include participating in lectures at the College of Law, serving as a juror in mock trials, and visiting local law firms and the Nebraska Supreme Court, shown here, to meet with and learn from the Supreme Court Justice.
