Pre-Vet Heart Dissection Lab

Do you care about animal health? From childhood pets to exotic animals, Pre-Vet: The Path to Veterinary Success is a great way to start your journey and discover what steps you need to reach your goal and become a competitive applicant!

You will begin your academic career alongside your fellow peers in introductory courses, like PVET101, essential for veterinary career exploration. Along with these courses, you will engage with faculty, staff, and various veterinarians from all around the state to learn from and see what experiences they have to get from your seat to theirs. You'll participate in a variety of academic, career, and social activities throughout the year to build connections and create your professional network like shadowing the veterinary staff at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium to touring emergency veterinary clinics to service projects to support local humane societies.

Through the learning community, you'll have the resources you need to become a successful student your first year and build your portfolio for the future!

Here you can learn more about the Pre-Vet program.
