University Exploration

Not everyone has a clear major or career path when they arrive on campus, and not everyone needs to. If you’re still deciding on a major that fits within your passions and interests, University Exploration will give you the opportunity to understand your talents and find a match between your skills and career plans—and have some fun along the way!

You will be a part of a community of students who are discovering their own journey - just like you - by exploring the variety of options UNL has to offer. By joining the Learning Community, you will participate in different academic, career exploration, and social activities throughout the year to make sure you have a network of support to make the best of your first year. Some of these activities may include job shadowing to get a “hands-on” feel for possible career paths, service projects around the area to gain experience and get connected to the greater community, taking strengths assessments to discover where your potential lies, and working alongside faculty and staff to develop productive study skills and potential career plans!

Discovering the path for you can be intimidating, but University Exploration is here to make it easier and be your support along the way.
