Are you interested in learning more about the world of chemistry and seeing where it can take you? If you are, then Chemistry: In Our Element is the Learning Community for you! The community is designed to support students majoring in chemistry and students interested in the field, but not sure if it is the fit for them.
This community will provide opportunities for you to interact closely with faculty and staff while gaining insight into chemistry-related careers. By participating, you will get the chance to tour behind-the-scenes of labs on campus that will showcase research opportunities and positions you can take advantage of to start building your experience! Along with showing different opportunities to build your resume and academics, you'll participate in events like "Chemistry Movie Nights" (complete with liquid nitrogen ice cream), tours of local chemistry companies to learn about their specialties and opportunities, and dinners and symposiums with students, faculty, and industry professionals.
Visit the Department of Chemistry to learn more about the range of opportunities available to you.
