As one of two Engineering-focused learning communities, Engineering Robotics is the community for students interested in engineering design, maintenance, programming, or how robots have shaped (and will continue to shape) modern society!
As a member of this learning community, you will take a First-Year Engineering seminar with your peers in Engineering to Change the World. Along with this seminar, you will also have the opportunity to take introductory math and chemistry courses with other LC students, depending on your program of study and incoming math placement scores. All these courses count towards your engineering degree and a minor in robotics.
Outside the classroom, you will have the opportunity to explore robotics through various academic, career, and social robotics-focused activities alongside experienced engineering faculty, which may include demonstrations and behind-the-scenes tours of engineering industrial partners, as well as working with your own individual robotics kit. One program throughout the years, is the "Engineering Egg Drop" where students work together to create egg-protection devices then drop them several stories to see who has the best design!

Who Can Join?
Engineering Robotics is open to any first-year students majoring or interested in engineering with a focus in robotics, mechanical, and materials engineering, and much more. Some commons majors students in Engineering Robotics have include, but are not limited to, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
