Exploring Health and Medicine

Exploring Health and Medicine

Pharmacy students preparing medications

If you are interested in getting a jumpstart on your future career and seeing the wide variety of options available throughout the healthcare field, Exploring Health and Medicine is designed for you!

You will take an introductory science course and Introduction to Health Professions course together as a community to work alongside one another, and have access to exclusive academic, career, and social experiences outside the classroom. These might include visits to the University of Nebraska Medical Center and other local facilities and educational activities with the cadaver lab on campus to gain further experience related to healthcare - often alongside your peers in various majors and pre-professional paths. Also, you will receive guidance in preparing for applying to post-grad health programs and learn what a career in medicine might entail.

You can visit the Explore Center and the College of Education and Human Sciences (CEHS) to learn about all the pre-health and health and well-being programs available at Nebraska.
