Who is a "Student Ambassador"?
A Student Ambassador is an upper-division student, which is someone beyond their first-year at Nebraska, who works more "behind-the-scenes" with the Learning and Themed Communities! This role is a great resource to get you connected around campus and find the resources that will be most helpful to you. While the Student Ambassador does not do individual community programming, they assist the Learning Community staff in a wide variety of ways, including:
- First-year student recruitment at Office of Admission's events throughout the year
- Variety of administrative work to support the professional staff
- Assisting with large-scale programming for all community students
- Updating social media to ensure students are up-to-date on what is happening and promote the exciting events
- Collecting various content and stories from Peer Mentors, Tutors, and community students
