Who is a "Learning Community Tutor"?
A tutor is an upper-division student, which is someone beyond their first-year at Nebraska, who provides academic guidance and instruction to Learning and Themed Community students outside of the formal classroom setting. Learning Communities has tutors available exclusively to students enrolled in our communities who will be able to share their knowledge and work to provide support throughout the school year! While the individual Peer Mentors will also provide academic support, the tutors will specialize in more personalized, one-on-one support.
Additionally, the tutors will periodically work together to create academic-focused programs such as, group study nights, professional development opportunities, and academic party games to make studying exciting and fun!
