Branch Out Joint ROTC

Apply by May 1
Joint ROTC

As a member of Branch Out: Joint ROTC, you will participate in a program designed to give men and women the opportunity to become military officers while completing a college degree. Freshmen students in any of the ROTC programs at UNL—Army, Air Force, and Navy—are strongly encouraged to join the Learning Community.

You will live in Abel Hall and study alongside new and current Cadets and Midshipmen, while learning about the prospects afforded military officers.

Further, you will enjoy activities that broaden your understanding of the global community and the responsibilities of military officers. Examples of exclusive activities in which members of this community participate are faculty dinners, camping trips, and visits to military-related centers like the Strategic Air and Space Museum.
