University Exploration

Not everyone has a clear career path when they arrive at the University, and not everyone needs to.

If you’re still deciding on a major, University Exploration will give you the opportunity to understand your talents and find a match between your skills and career plans—and have some fun along the way!

You will live in Abel Hall with other students exploring their options at UNL. You will engage in job shadowing to get a “hands-on” feel for possible career paths, and have support in developing productive study skills, access to strengths assessments, and help with career planning. You will make friends right away at UNL and be invited to participate in service-based and social activities exclusive to your Learning Community.
